We went to see Connor in Las Cruces today. He lives there with his foster parents & is so happy! They are nice people. He is doing very well in school & in their home.
Ahh. Faith loves her Connor Kitty (as she calls him).
We did go see a movie after walking around the mall. We saw Tangled which I recommend to anyone big or small! It was the best movie & the horse in it was hillarious! I want the horse! (Only way I may get away with a "dog" in my house with Faith!)
After the movie we went to our Favorite Barnes & Noble. Connor got an Air Hogs helicopter with his Christmas money from his grandparents in IA.
Ian got a book on Yo-Yo tricks & a face painting kit.
Faith got a magic trick set & a body drawing kit. (Well, it is better than the ink they keep using! I think....)
After this we went to Wal-Mart (which is becoming such a bad store...) to help Connor buy a few more things with his gift cards, but he couldn't find too much. He did get some new markers, a felt art picture, & the move Old Dogs.
Mom got him a new pair of pants, shoes & a belt. Somehow Ian got a couple pairs of pants too. (A moms job... :)
I am not sure you can see below, as I should have taken a pic back to back, but when we were getting Connor's shoes I about flipped when I saw how much taller Ian was than Connor! ("And I am the older one," Connor said.)
This is out front of Connor's home.
Ian, Faith & I got supper before we left Las Cruces. Faith played with her drawing things & magic, while Ian tried knocking himself out with his yo-yo!
On the way home, Ian told Faith he would give her a Cat face & boy did he!
Can we say MEOW!
That is one happy kitty!
After we got home, Ian decided to paint himself a mime. (There was one in the movie.) He would be good, if he could keep a straight face!
Well, he was so excited to show our friend, Kerry, that I asked if he could come see her & warned her not to freak out. She said she would try, but couldn't promise.
Nope, she didn't promise.
Apparently, she slammed the door in his face as he freaked her out! He thought it was hillarious, of course, but she text me saying, "That was so not funny! He scared the crap out of me!"
I did warn her!
Not bad, he did it himself. He was still laughing when he got home!
We had a great time!
Great post Sonya!! Connor looks wonderful:):)
ReplyDeleteAs for Ian, im still not talking to him:) I cant believe he did that himself, it was really good. I would have been ok if he hadnt put his face so close to the door, when I opened it there he was (dont forget it was dark), ok I really did find it funny after my heart started again, little monkey. My life would be boring without you guys init.
