Faith went to Kerry's yesterday. She actually rode her bike without telling us! The turkey. I was @ 8 when I did it, so she is about on target! I lived in Montezuma, KS & boy did I get in trouble!
Tess, Ian & I went to see the A-Team. During it she told me she was getting the funny feeling she gets when her blood pressure is high. Well, @ 3:30 I ended up taking her to ER, which really isn't an ER at all.
She was having chest pains, pain in neck, arm was feeling funny (left), nausea. By @ 5:30 she finally got a bed. She was seen by Dr. Kelly (a Scot! - American) He gave her some meds for her nausea & pain meds. I went on home. Ian made bbq chicken for he & his sister. They did very well. Faith only ran him over with her bike & locked him out of the house once!
The doctor wanted to make sure an infection from her stomach wasn't part of the problem, so she got a CT Scan @ 8pm. All was fine. Another dr. came in. He said if she were his sister, he would have her get a full cardiac work up. The bp may not be extremely high, but it is for her.
Today, Faith & I took her a few items. She looked tired. Didn't get into a room until 1:30 am.
They were drawing more blood on her for various hormone tests. Maybe we will find something out @ all this stuff she has. The heart dr. saw her; they will do echo on her today & stress test tomorrow.
My U Joe isn't doing too well. He was taken to Wichita several days ago with internal bleeding. It turned out it was an ulcer. I am getting pieces of the story. Kim said he needed another unit of blood today. I wish he would get better, but I wonder if mom isn't telling him to join her. It is sad & then not sad. I think it is what they mean by bitter sweet.
My Connor is still in IA. He doesn't know @ any of it. It doesn't help for him. I am concerned @ him coming home some days, just because there is more stuff here to stress him. He will be home soon.

Dysfunction of today - 4 June 2010
Dysfunction of today: losing my temper with my kids over their worksheet & not helping them enough.
John Robert came over to help with weeds. He stayed & hung out with the kids for a while. (Our Cousin)
Really it was a quiet day.

My birthday was great due to my sister & kids. :) The crazy Tess got me 3-D Star Wars plates & napkins! I even got a birthday Jedi ribbon with Yoda on it! Dad came, gave me a funny card & money just as he was leaving.
I got a heart necklace with the kids' & my birthstones in it. Also a great digital frame. The kids made me neat rock pets. :) Tess also got me an outfit that I can wear after my surgery & a top with butterflies too.

My dysfunctions weren't as bad today. Faith was gung-ho on the chore chart & Ian did well at catching up today. Ian had counseling & played with Jordan. Faith read a lot. They did a math paper. :) Nice day. Energy in a bottle!

Why I am Dysfuntional - 3 June 2010
My dysfunctions weren't as bad today! I tried cleaning up my desk & did the laundry. Faith was gungho on the chore chart & Ian did well at catching up today.
Ian had counseling this afternoon & played with Jordan. He also helped his Aunt Tess today, who fell again after Athos (one of her cats) ran under her foot as she was taking a step down. She was ok, but even more sore now!
Faith read a lot. They did a math paper :) Nice day.

Why Am I Dysfunctional Today Journal -10 June 2010
Who knows why I am dysfunctional today; I just know that I am!
I made new chore charts for the kids today. Faith was the most excited. She also got over 12 stars. She asked if she could help Ian earn more stars tomorrow. He isn't as enthusiastic.
Faith & Ian were outside with his friend Jordan. They were throwing rocks on the trampoline as Ian bounced. Well, my daughter got over zealous & threw quite a big one. Ian has quite a good knock on his head. Small bouncy ball size!
As for my "issues" of the day, I have been dropping, spilling & losing things all day. Ugh!

Today Tess & I went to Staples, Sonic & then home. I made new chore charts for the kids. Faith was the most excited. She got over 12 starts & asked if she could help Ian earn more stars tomorrow. He isn't that enthusiastic.
Faith & Ian were outside with his friend J. They were throwing rocks on the trampoline as Ian decided to bounce on it. Well, my daughter got a big overzealous & threw quite a big one. He has quite a good knock on his head. Small bouncey ball size!
Makes you glad you never see most of what goes on in a kids life! I wouldn't have probably have given my mother a heart attack!

My Dysfunctions Journal - 2 June 2010
When at Barnes & Noble last I came upon a new type of journal called "My Dysfunctions". It says it is:
"A journal for chronicling my immeasurable fascinating dysfunctions, neuroses, emotions, inner children, moments of shame & doubt, projection, self-loathing, misanthropy, & completely normal insanity, because the only difference between me & the rest of the population is that I acknowledge how crazy I am & they're all in mind-numbing denial".
Don't you just love that? And I love to buy things that make me laugh. So, I started working on it.
